New Product Development and Sourcing

Sourcing product for our clients covers two main areas, OEM production and finding suitable manufacturers for existing items. For both we identify the manufacturer that is best suited to our clients needs.

Crownstar has a substantial data base of existing factories that we work with which we have already approved as suitable for our requirements. New factories that have to be procured are put through an inspection process covering suitability, quality of production, quality control procedures, audit of compliance and conditions in terms of labour laws and safety etc.

Once the suitable manufacturer is chosen, the Crownstar project management team takes over. Their functions include the development of required tooling, initial sampling, customer ‘sign offs’, bulk production oversight, QC (undertaken by Crownstar’s team in addition to the normal in house factory inspection procedures), packaging, consolidation and shipping. Other responsibilities required by customer’s specific individual requirements are also identified and handled by this team.

As a result, our clients benefit from Crownstar’s total project management from the initial inquiry to the point where their goods are delivered. Follow-up service, warehousing, etc. is then handled by our office in the UK or the USA.
